Lest we forget

Kewarra Aged Care has paid their tributes at their annual Remembrance Day service.

There was a poppy flower badge on every chest and complete silence at 11am to remember those who fought for our nation.

Tradition states that your own medals are worn on the left breast and their ancestor’s medals are worn on their right.

The Far North Ukes musicians were a part of their live entertainment and the residence sang along to the songs and strumming of their ukuleles.

It’s so fantastic to see everyone participating, remembering and acknowledging all those that were apart of such a momentous part of Australian history.
