Kewarra Aged Care opened in August 2017 and provides a modern and stylish setting..
Our aged care home is a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment where residents can feel at home. We look after their daily care needs and provide them with the freedom to live their life the way they want. We treat them with dignity, respect and as a valued member of our community.
Located approximately 20 kilometres north of Cairns airport, the home is set amongst beautiful tropical surrounds with views of the Macalister Ranges. Residents love the outdoor lifestyle at the home with alfresco areas, gardens, and walking paths.
We are proud to offer permanent residential accommodation, dementia specific care, concessional places and respite services to senior citizens.
There are spacious single rooms with their own private ensuite or double rooms so that couples can stay together.
Residents have the freedom to do as much or as little as they like. There’s a range of activities to enjoy including art and crafts, organised themed events, performers and entertainment, or simply chat with friends and family in the coffee hub with a cuppa.

Room Pricing
Each room is supplied with an electronic high/low adjustable bed, bedside table with drawer, over bed table and chair (for each person within the room).

The Effective Maximum Permissible Interest Rate is 8.42% from 1 January 2025 and is reviewed quarterly by the government and subject to change.
How to calculate the accommodation payments
Residents can choose to pay for their accommodation by a refundable accommodation deposit (RAD), a daily accommodation payment (DAP), or a combination of both.
The DAP is calculated by multiplying the RAD (or the unpaid portion of the RAD) by the interest rate set by government (currently 8.42% per annum)/365 days (/100).
