May 2026: creativity, gratitude, and a fond farewell at Kewarra Aged Care

May 2026 was a quieter month on the calendar at Kewarra Aged Care, but the moments we shared were full of meaning.

We celebrated Mother’s Day with a Sip and Paint afternoon that was simply delightful. A big thank you to Lisa and Jo for leading such a warm and creative session — the laughter in the room said everything. There is something special about sitting together, brush in hand, and making something beautiful with the people around you. It was exactly the kind of afternoon that stays with you.

The month also brought a moment of bittersweet reflection, as we farewelled our dear Kathryn. Over her time at Kewarra Aged Care, Kathryn served as a Registered Nurse on the floor, then as a Clinical Nurse, and for the past two years as our Clinical Care Coordinator. She is known and loved by so many of our families, and her beautiful smile, her professionalism, and her genuine care for every resident she has worked with will be deeply missed.

We laughed, we shed a tear or two, and we wished her a well-earned rest. Kathryn, we hope you come back to see us soon.
